Why haven't they re-started the 'cart witnessing'?

we are nearly 18 months into this pandemic and lot has been learned and our behaviour modified to make things safer for us, e.g.

the wearing of face masks and social distancing.. many countries such as australia, new zealand, the uk and usa either have things under control or have vaccinated a large portion of the population.

therefore, given the very passive nature of the 'cart witnessing', i can't see why this hasn't be re-started.

The recent CA here was all local speakers done live, complete with technical difficulties. You had to tune in with a code at the set time. No pausing. I liked the prerecorded ine better because you could pause for a break. The WT version had smoother company men but we hangers on dont know any of the e local big wigs anyway.

I guess credit is due that the local home studios were able to tap into the WT server and coordinate at all.

I am still not able to solve this God's name paradox...

i am finishing to read the entire bible (nwt 2013) for my first time (my fault) and i wrote down hundreds, maybe thousands, of questions not clear to me, but one especially came in my mind meditating on god's name.. if i wanted to summarize the entire bible in one phrase i would say (even before the kingdom): god’s name sanctification.. god is jealous about his name.

he does everything for the love of his name, and he wants to be called and prayed using his name.

no doubt about all this (repeated several times in the bible), but it involves the pronunciation of his name.. god left us his name in the form of יהוה which is unpronounceable.

Jehovah comes from the king James bible. It was not obscured or hidden as such, it was known and used in hymns. The jews use G-d in writing.

It is a story that the name was hidden, my opinion is the name fell into disfavor when it was hijacked in 1931.

You find different versions in every language. The overlooked part is it distinguishes the bible God from others.

at our clam meeting this past week there was a rather lengthy announcement asking for the donation of travel trailers.

needed to be at least 22 feet long and not older than a 2005 model year.

lots of other details were in the announcement about what was desired related condition of the trailer, etc.

200 acres in most of colorado will support 1 cow,

will grow wheat if you use evil fertilizer. But not every year. Wells are 500+ feet. Leach fields are a evil means of racism once the white building inspector comes by.

For easterners Colorado is equal mix of west Kansas, interior Alaska, alps, high desert. Bottom land is in the millions and the rivers don't qualify as creeks most other places. Government is adopted from California

The local libertarian on TV just pointed out that logic loses the argument so here goes.

The spokesman I saw looked Spanish descent. If you think English colonists were brutal look at the Spanish ones. Add that 200 people is not a viable population in isolation.

Do local JWs want in-person meetings back in your congregation?

i realize many here think that in-person meetings will return as soon as things are safe with covid.

but many acknowledge it will likely be 2022 or later when this happens.. surprisingly, many pimi jws in our congregation are not shy about saying they are fine with zoom meetings forever and do not want to go back to in-person meetings.

many speculate similar thoughts that are on this site....such as a combination of in-person and zoom meetings.

I have heard it and I do not get around. The face to face at the hall not that great. The time changing clothes, traveling all cut into necessary activities. With zoom you can multitask to stay awake (some material is not that riveting). Add in the awkward meeting times which cut a whole day into useless segments. ( 2 or 3 Sunday?, or staying up past bedtime).

Unless there us a monetary advantage things will go back to normal in time
